Retry

You might remember the Google earth fiasco back on the Australia Day weekend. Well, our precious global message did not make it into the area covered by the wayward google plane.

We'll try again with a medium that is a little more exclusive (ie, this blog).


If you look closely, you can see the twigs we gathered up and used to skewer the pages down with so as to prevent the wind from running amok amoung our letters. It is unlikely that this detail would have been captured by the stupid low flying plane anyway. So you can just stick it Mr Google!

Oh you guys! What a damned stoopid plane indeed. Where were you? And I must say, it's those sticks that really make the message, so if anything, it's lucky that the plane never made it.

We arrived at St Leonards park in the north of the designated area, about 10 minutes before the scheduled fly-over period. After an hour and a half of no plane, we had to hoof it because we had dinner to cook for John and Shari so we left the sign in case the plane came later but looking at Google maps, you can see they never made it over our little sign! Stoopid plane...
