My Sydney Film Festival
I've done it. 10 films in 18 days to set a new world record in Sydney Film Festival attendance. In honour of this incredible acheivment I have decided to give you my review of all 10 films I saw in ascending order of Brilliance. As Haiku. Enjoy
Lake Tahoe
Mexican Car crash
Stony faced sadness revealed
short film strung way out
Married Life
Forties noir romance
Stroll through a sordid affair
McAdams is hot
The Band's Visit
Egyptian band lost
Israeli folk kind and odd
Roller Disco love
Persepolis
Iran's a tough place
Girl flees, returns, flees again
Shaun Penn is the Dad!
The Square
Suburban Thriller
A rash dash prompted by cash
well paced, Joel and Nash
Happy Go Lucky
Better than Edith
Driving instructor goes nuts
Bubbly nut just goes
Choke
Sex addict con-man
Mum is Bonkers, he drifts lost
As does anal bead
Three Blind Mice
Three young sailors land
shameful secrets, new love; found
Bert's boy plays it well
Anvil: The Story of Anvil
Spinal Tap for real
Ageing rockers chase their break
Heart-felt metal gold
In Bruges
Irish hitmen hide
Guilty kill and racist dwarf
Festival top-pick
And there you have it. I must thank Nick for organising tickets for me to all the films, inviting me to free drinks and generally putting on a film festival for me.
Comments welcome. Preferably in Haiku

We're still not dead
Hey guys,
Sorry that Suzy and I have been so quiet, time really flies with George and it's getting very easy to let everything else slide. I'd love to catch up with everyone soon, so I'll see if I can get my shit together long enough to organise something in the not too distant future!
Anyone who would like to stop by and say hi, meet George or shower me with riches is always welcome to, just give me a call and we can sort something out. And George loves meeting his Aunties and Uncles from the extend Stephen Roberts family!
Can you say no to something that cute?
Cheers,
Richard, Suzy and George
PS: If you felt the need to buy me a "you're so awesome I wanted to buy you a present" present, look no further!

To whet your appetite, here is a reminder of last year's Winterfest action in Leura and here is a reminder of last year's sojourn action in Wollombi.
And here is what is happening this time around for Winterfest at Wollombi:
Going up on Friday night, June 27
Coming back on Sunday arvo, June 29
John is organising catering.
We are entertaining ourselves in all manner of 1950's fireside ways.
Noodle and I bags the spare bed.
Jeff is driving Noodle, Bron Sammut and I (in Dad's beast, NOT in Bertie) and we can offer lifts to 1 more people. We will be heading back quite early on Sunday morning as Noodle is flying to Victoria and I am kicking the arses of another hockey team.
