From cricket to civil liberties

I wouldn't have put this article in the Sports section myself, but there are some interesting points.

...the biggest changes may be gauged by how Australians treat the next generations. Australians seem more at ease with being treated like children by government and institutions. They wrap their own children in cotton wool...

woah! that is one crazy train of thought he's on! never seen a sports article go from crowd control, circumcision, cremation, WWII, parenting and end up in Singapore!
