Anybody hungry?

Just came across the Taste of Sydney festival, does anyone know it? Is it good? Anyone interested in going?

16 top restaurants, including Becasse, Marque, and Aria, set up their kitchens in Centennial Park from 11th to 14th March, and sell sample sized dishes for $8-12 each. Tix are $27.50 (entry only), or $55 including $30 worth of food and drink.

I went last year with comp tickets from someone. It was great but I definitely wouldn't have paid! You have to buy vouchers of $10 each in a book of a minumum of 3 that get you a 'tasting plate' each (basically a morsel of food from that restaurant).

So value for money it is not.

BUT on the plus side, for foodies like me, it's pretty awesome to have all those flavours and smells in one park. There are tents with chutneys and wines and cheeses and if you're lucky you can taste some before you buy.

I still remember tasting the best tomato of my entire life there.

We should try to blag some comps perhaps?
