In Today's News...

A record price for a Radiohead album: $0
I thought this was an interesting approach to the download/record label debate. Basically, they're selling their new album independently and letting people pay whatever they think it's worth.

So will you be paying $400, I know you're eagerly awaiting it after all?

I decided to order the hard-copy pack, double cd and double heavy weight vinyl and download all in one. It's 40 quid inclusive of postage, but I think it's worth it. Something about downloading music but not "having" it physically means I'm always after the "real thing".

The vinyl is tempting for sure though I'll probably wait for one of those impulse buys at red-eye.

Yeah, aparrently they're still shopping for a record deal to get them in stores, but it'll happen eventually I'm sure.

I reckon I know how much it's worth...

You may not pay much for it, but think about the human cost!

Oh, they just keep on comin'. You're a real jokin' machine.

I just googled radiohead+suicide and got more than 2.5 million hits - maybe Matt has a point! Saying that it appeared that most of them were in the context of 'commercial suicide'.

ooooooooooooh someone's a little touchy! I'm only trying to save you from the dark spiral of depression. You should be thanking me.

Maybe I should thank you in person instead.
