Last Thursday night, Sarah and I braved the holiday traffic and set out southward towards Tumut. Luckily, as we left at 3pm, we avoided the worst of it, and by dinner time we were at the table at Quidong with Sarah's parents and my parents at the farm. It was especially nice to be able to have an Easter with both families in the one place!Our weekend consisted of eating, building bonfires to burn off very large dead trees, drinking wine, eating, feeding the cows, stoking the fires, going for walks on the farm, eating, a quick trip into Tumut for church and morning tea, the occasional brief power blackout, and eating. The Franklins were fantastic hosts (perhaps a little too good - so much food!) and we had a really great Easter.
